C- Carbonated Beverages

With summer coming I am realizing that swimsuit season is coming up and I’m not a fan of what I am seeing in the mirror. One of my weaknesses is soda. (Carbonated beverages happened to fit better lol) I love the tastes and the carbonation of soda. They are so delicious! But… they also pack in a ton of weight when it really comes down to it. I don’t know the stats on it but I have heard so many people say that when they cut out soda they lost a good amount of weight. So, I am at least attempting to cut back on them. I am a person who can’t just go cold turkey but cutting back and finding other drinks to suit my taste buds and be better for me is definitely something I am aiming for.

I am going to do my best to cut back from having soda fairly frequently to only a time or two a week and start there. My body could definitely use the hiatus from soda lol.

All month you are going to see me post about better options for food and for drinks. I show you how I switched it up for a couple of days by infusing my water with some fruit. I want to live a healthier lifestyle and that includes what I eat, drink, and do with my time. I know I am taking a deeper look at what I am doing and not doing that could affect my body and mood, I hope with spring here, a time of refreshing, you will take a look too!

See ya!

I told you I was trying to keep things a little uniform this time around. I am definitely doing my best. I am really trying to focus on living a full and vibrant lifestyle. This includes eating and marriage and body weight and all the in between. So I hope you will stick with me and join with me through this A to Z challenge and maybe find some new blogs that you like too!

Weekend Update: Z is for Zzzzzzzzzzzzz

This weekend was a whirl. This will be a short post I promise. This is my last A-Z post. So much has happened over the last month. I’ve had so much fun posting and getting to know others through their posts. Thanks for stopping by and seeing what I have been up to over the last month.

I have seriously had such a busy weekend. I have been working hard at work. I have also been trucking away at homework and keeping the house clean and the laundry up to speed. It was just a blur, I swear. I have no idea where my weekend went. To quote Downton Abbey, “What is a weekend?” That is how I feel right now. And yet, that is how next weekend is going to go too. Hopefully the next weekend will be fun instead of tiresome. Graduation here I come!

All of my internship paperwork is done. It will be submitted later tonight or in the morning. It is so surreal. I have everything ready to submit and I am done with my internship. The one big thing that stood between me and graduating is all ready to submit! Wow! Now, I just have to finish my last two classes strong! Yay! Here we go!

I am off to enjoy my night free of homework before doing more tomorrow.

See ya!

Totally Awesome Tuesday: Crashpads (A-Z Challenge continued)

Well, today is the third day of the April A-Z Challenge and I am continuing to keep with the lettters and my awesome product to talk about today is crashpads. They are very essential in my life especially during the warmer months. They are big squishy pieces of foam that are put at the bottom of a rock wall and if you wall when you are bouldering (climbing on a smaller surface without ropes) then that piece of foam is there to break your fall instead of the hard ground. It is super important to make sure those crash pads are placed under the climber because if they are not, then there could be serious injury to the climber.

I rock climb outside in the warmer months and in a gym when I can in the colder months. I love it, it helps me stay strong and lean (which is not two words I would use to describe myself this winter) and it is just fun. My husband is the one who got me into rock climbing when we were dating and it has stuck ever since.

If I am climbing in a gym or with other friends who bring their own crashpads, I will use whatever they bring but the ones that we prefer to use is from a company called Organic. They are a local company here in Central PA. (Side Note: It is great to support local companies when you can instead of just always going with a brand name big company.) We have become friends with the owner and we honestly just love the quality of their crashpads. If you have not heard of them or just want to take a look at their awesome colors on their custom made crash pads, check them out here.

A-Z Blogging Challenge Begins! : Always Another Project

Ok, so it is April 1st and that means the beginning of the April A-Z Blogging challenge!!!!! Are you as excited as I am? I highly doubt that lol. I really am looking forward to this, it is honestly going to be challenging to blog everyday about something started with that letter of the alphabet. I will be sticking with my theme days such as weekend update, totally awesome tuesday, and of course Wanderlust Wednesday (must say J was a hard one for me to figure out). But today, we start with the letter A!

As you can see from my title, it is always another project going on over here. I seriously have to have something going on all the time. I cannot stand to not have either a knitting project, or a sewing project, or a block printing project, or a blogging project, or whatever other project may be to my interest. I love learning and working on something new and today is no exception.

I am almost done with the bottom of a bag that I am working on. I have never tried working with two strands of yarn at once, this has been something new and the pattern has some stitched that I have never done either so I always have another project to work on!

Keep checking back everyday and feel free to follow my blog via WordPress or email!
See ya!

Totally Awesome Tuesday: Peaches and Creme Yarn

So, today is Tuesday yet again. I feel like Monday is just a day I push through and then Tuesday comes and I start to realize how busy my week is. This is when reality sets in a little bit lol.

Last week I talked about how awesome Chaco is. I got to wear my chaco sandals almost all week. It has been a little colder over the last couple days so I have not worn them.

This week I want to talk about my favorite yarn to use, which is Peaches and Creme Yarn. If you have not tried them or have not heard of them, you can either find them at Walmart, or check out their website here. They are made in Canada but it is 100% U.S.A. grown cotton so it is an all natural yarn. I love using organic products and this one has just amazing colors. I have shown you some of the colors that I have around or some that I have used in some of my projects. They are honestly such a great product and their little balls of yarn are not expensive at all.

I used one of their balls of yarn yet again as I finished up my hat this week and as I start my next project today. (It is a secret about what it is.)

This is my newest hat! I just love the colors! They layered on each other so beautifully and I used the Floral Fantasy color twist from Peaches and Creme. It is just a great hat and so color to add to my spring wardrobe. Again, if you want one, I am selling them for $20.

I am also using a nice light blue for my next project this week. This is also from Peaches and Creme. It is such a light and yet strong yarn. I would tell anyone about it and encourage anyone use it for their projects.

Well, I must be off as I do some work around the house, plan my topics for the April Challenge and then head off to work!
See ya!
